Description
Join us for the Carolina's Ugly Sweater 5K and 1K Elf Run on December 16th... the funnest day of winter! Walkers are welcome and 100% pet-friendly (if they are friendly and on a leash)! In addition, Mickey and Minnie Mouse will be there rocking out their ugly sweaters!! There will also be mimosas, beer from Divine Barrel Brewery, tacos, funnel cakes, and cotton candy!!
Special guest, Anthony Famiglietti, will be returning this year to be the Grinch!! Famiglietti is a two-time Olympian athlete who is excited to be a part of this year's event!! The La Unica Restaurant will also be featured at the event with some delicious tacos and burritos coming your way! Get ready to indulge in some mouth-watering tacos and burritos from the renowned La Unica Restaurant, which will be serving at the event. Don't miss out on this opportunity to treat your taste buds to some tasty food!
Additionally, free massages will provided by Best Life Physical Therapy, LLC!!
This event will be so much fun for the entire family!! In addition, this is our nonprofit's biggest event of the year to raise money to get underprivileged kiddos here in the area into sports. Our goal in 2024 is 250 registrations. That is roughly $50,000.00 in generated revenue so please make a donation and tell your friends and family!!
This festive 5K and 1K Elf Run will start and finish in Jetton Village. Come hungry and thirsty! The first 800 5K and 1k registrations will receive a Christmas ornament for your tree and everyone will receive a FREE chicken sandwich from Chick-fil-A Coupon!! Yes, you read that right!!
Participants will have the option to purchase an Ugly Sweater t-shirt (softest in the Carolinas) at the event for $15.00 (adults) or $12.00 (youth)!
Santa will be there to greet everyone about 30 minutes before the race starts so make sure you get your family/friend photos! It promises to be a super exciting day with a little bit later race start (11:30 am). After the run or walk, participants can have lunch, grab a few drinks, make cotton candy, participate in giveaways, and just have some laughs as December kicks off with a bang.
The Kid's 1K Elf Run will start at 12:30 p.m. It is recommended for 10 and under. Each registered runner will receive a finisher ornament for your Christmas tree. Race t-shirts can be purchased for $12.
There will be prizes for best overall costume, Best Elf, Best Grinch, Best Santa, and Best Ugly Sweater. Overall top male and female runners will receive a $200 Lululemon gift card.
The race benefits Cree Cares. Our primary focus is to get underprivileged kids active in sports here locally. Our goal in 2024 is 250 registrations!! Please visit our website to learn more: CREE Cares Website
There will be a photographer and videographer at the event. By registering you agree to release any photos and video for public view.
