Description
Team Summit Foundation is excited to host the 9th annual Leprechaun Loop 8K on Saturday, March 14th, at 6:30pm in downtown Davidson, North Carolina. Also returning for 2020 is the one-mile Fun Run, starting at 6:00pm.
Following both races, the Leprechaun Loop Festival will be held at Summit Coffee Co.'s Basecamp location (128 S. Main St., Davidson, NC). The festival is free for all runners and the public, and features beer from Sierra Nevada, live music, food trucks and more.
In addition to race entry, each registration entitles a runner to a trucker hat (if registered by March 1), one free beer post-race, and free admission into the post-race festival.
The Leprechaun Loop is the first of three events in the 2020 Twilight Racing Series presented by Summit Coffee. The Summit Solstice 12-Hour Relay will be held on Saturday, June 6th, and the Twilight 5k will be held on Saturday, October 24th.
All races benefit Team Summit Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization committed to bridging the summer gap for school-aged children by bringing community together to raise resources and awareness.

The Festival

Awards
Awards will be given for the top 3 males and females overall, plus awards for age groups: top 3 in ages 19 and under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, and 50-59, and 60+.

The Course
A beautiful, challenging evening 8k road course through scenic Davidson, past churches and homes, along scenic paved greenways, and finishing on South Street near Summit Coffee. The course features a fast first 2 miles, before giving way to a steady next 2 miles and finishing with a challenging last loop.
