Description

The Walk It Out march is a 222+ mile journey that will push the body physically in an effort to mimic the mental strain our nation’s heroes sometimes endure silently. Together we can impress upon our heroes they are not alone. Let's Walk It Out.

LWO 2021 Walkers Info and FAQ

What does the registration include?
a. The registration includes swag bags and any other perks sent by sponsors, meals will be provided, and accommodations as available.
Do I have to provide my own lodging?
a. We will have shelter at our stops.  Not all stops will accommodate “beds” so be prepared to sleep in cots and bring sleeping bags.  We will have AirBnB’s set up for showers and sleeping if necessary if you don't wish to camp out with the team.  AirBnB’s are shared with other volunteers and/or participants.
Do I have to carry all of my gear?
a. NO.  We will have logistics vehicles that will bring gear from one point to another.  You only carry with you what you want/need for the walk.
Can family/friends come see me at the different stops?
a. YES.  We encourage family and friends to come and spend time with us in all of our stops and along the route.
Once I start a Leg, do I have to finish it?
a. NO.  If you can’t continue or need a break, you can jump in one of the safety/logistics vans and continue when and if you can.
Do I have to pay for my meals?
a. If you are a paid participant or volunteer, all meals are provided.
What items are recommended to bring?
a. Sleeping bags
b. Air Mattress
c. Water bottles
d. Woobies/light blanket
e. hygiene kit
f. extra socks and shirts
Anything else that you want to bring to make you comfortable.  Remember, you don't have to carry all of it.
What's is the required weight for the Ruck?
a. There is no requirement.  You carry what you want and off you want.  You can walk with us without it as well.  
b. The Core Walker will walk with a minimum of 45lbs but that's not required for participants.
Is my registration/donation tax-deductible?
a. YES.  All donations, sponsorships, and registrations are tax-deductible.  All donations are processed by the Special Forces Foundation a 501(c)(3).
The opening ceremony will be at 10:00 am at Charlie Mikes Pub.  We will begin Leg 1 shortly after that.
Family and friends can track our movement live on our website once the Ruck March begins.
What if I have to leave early or get a ride to my car?
a. Our logistics vans will arrange transportation for you.
