5:00pm - 6:00pm: Packet Pick Up and On-site Registration at McNair Stadium
6:30pm: 5K START
6:35pm: Fun Run START

5K: Top 3 Male/Female Overall.
5K: Top 3 finishers in each Age Group < 8, 9-11, 12-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75+
5K Race results and scoring will be determined by Gun Time.

We have worked tirelessly with the Town of Forest City as well as the Forest City Police Department to make a safer, more enjoyable race this year. We look forward to unveiling that new course soon!
Why We Run
Be the Light 5K is hosted by Hope Network of Rutherford County - check out their Mission Statement and Goals. This is why we run.
Organizational Mission:
Hope Network exists to connect broken people to the love of Christ through a community of support by offering free resources and services that address immediate and long-term needs.
Programs Supported By Your Contributions:
· Transitional housing: We provide transitional housing for women in Rutherford County. Our homes are intended to be used for 3-6 months while women can benefit from our other services including assistance with securing employment, transportation, counseling services and financial education. Participants must maintain sobriety and participate in program activities and goal setting.
· Financial education and budgeting: Hope Network staff and volunteers assist with obtaining documents needed to start work, like ID and social security cards. We will also assist with setting up savings goals for housing and utilities deposits as well as provide daily household budgeting education.
· Support: Hope Network partners with local ministries to provide counseling services. While we are not a drug detox or treatment center, we do provide resources for those who may need it and can connect participants with recovery classes. We also assist with transportation to appointments and meetings.

Rutherford Outdoor Coalition - Running Race Series
The Be the Light 5K is proud to be part of the Rutherford Outdoor Coalition Running Race Series.
The 2025 Series has multiple events running from February to December.
There are road races, trail runs, and even a hill climb.
