5k chip timed races to support Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy, the largest non-profit in the US focused entirely on Duchenne and Becker muscular dystrophies.
Matthew is a true champion for Duchenne muscular dystrophy research. Our high school senior has been in 9 studies and clinical trials that we hope will lead to a brighter future for all boys with Duchenne. Miles for Matthew was created to raise awareness and funds for DMD research but it also honors Matthew's bravery and selflessness. He is currently in year 5 of a gene therapy trial and thanks to all you champions out there, we are confident that he will have healthy future. We would love for you to join us in the fight for the future of all boys with Duchenne.
Learn more about PPMD and the critical role they play in educating our communities, advocating on our boys' behalf and funding research that will one day End Duchenne.
All participants who raise $250 or more for PPMD will be placed in a drawing to run Disney in January 2024. The winner may choose to run the half marathon, the 10k or the 5k through the Disney parks in Orlando. The prize includes entry into the race of your choice, a $350 gift card to be used towards hotel or park visits and two seats at the pasta dinner hosted by PPMD during your stay.

We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers who are willing to join us early on a Saturday morning to help make our event run smoothly. With the exception of our lead and trailing bikers and our water station volunteers, most shifts are on the front lawn of Lindley Elementary.
Packet pickup for the live race will be available at Fleet Feet Greensboro on Friday, September 22 from noon until 6 pm. The store is located at 3731 Lawndale Dr, Greensboro, NC 27455.
We invite all of this year's participants and families to join us for free at the Lindley Park Filling Station on Walker Avenue from 4-7 pm on race day to celebrate with live music, free beer and friends! The fabulous Bandemic will be performing and the wristband given at packet pickup will give you access to the keg until it runs dry. The more the merrier!
