We will be working closely with the city to implement all necessary Covid measures to have a safe in-person event. Modifications may include removal of post race activities, wave starts, and modified courses. We cannot predict what April will look like in terms of the current pandemic, but we are committed to doing everything we can to host a live event. Please make sure you are aware of our refund policy prior to signing up. We hope to see everyone in April!
Medals: This race is part of the Mega Medal Series of 2021! All medals will connect magnetically to make one giant medal!
April is National Donate Life Month. A local runner, Carla Flores-Ballesteros, donated her kidney to John Brown Jr. last December. They have partnered with Trivium racing to bring awareness and help educate people on organ donation. Did you know that one person can save up to 8 lives? Both of them want to share their story and inspire others to consider being living organ donors or pledge to donate organs and tissue after they die. If you want to learn more about their story click here.
Representatives from the Wake Forest Baptist Health Living Donor Program, Carolina Donor Services, Donate Life, and Carla and John will be at the race providing information and resources. They will also be selling shirts to raise donations for Donate Life. You can also donate and purchase a shirt on your registration.
