Description
Come on out to Raven Rock State Park the first Sunday of the year. We'll have good trails, people, and food to get the year started right!
Parking is limited at this event so sign up quick and carpool if you can. (Participants can only park in the paved lot by the big picnic shelter or the adjacent dirt lot.)
Check in will be race morning from 8:30a to 9:45a at the big picnic shelter.

5 Mile Course!
(New route for 2027!)
Get ready for 500ish ft of elevation gain on this fun and challenging lollipop course. The new route starts with an out and back down to the river where you'll traverse some huge rocks. You'll then make your way by the overlook and head down to some creekside single track. A steady climb brings you to the finish line as the 25k heads back into the woods. This course is a little shorter and less technical than last year.
25K Course!
First 5ish miles follows the beautiful 5 mile course back to the start/finish area and aid. Bypass the finish chute and head through the woods to start your 10 mile loop. Lots of elevation change, single and double track trail, and of course rocks. Aid around the 12th mile and make your way back to the finish! Around 1400ft of total elevation gain.

For 2027 we will have 5 State Park Trail Races across NC and VA! All 5 will offer a 25k as well as a shorter distance with a hike option. (Some events will also have longer distances)
If you sign up for at least 4 events and send us a message with your size, you'll be eligible for a series long sleeve!
If you complete at least 4 events and send us a message, you'll be eligible for a series award!
NEW for 2027... 25K SERIES CHAMPIONSHIP!
For every 25k completed you will accumulate points.
(Example: if a 25k has 100 participants and you finish 1st you receive 100 points. For 2nd you would get 99. If another 25k has 50 participants and you finish 1st you receive 50 points. If you were 4th you would get 47.)
The male and female with the highest points at the end of the season will receive a custom award/prize. Also the male and female with the highest points in the Grand Masters age group of 50+ will receive custom awards/prizes.
