Description
Join us for the 3rd Annual Hair of the Dog, a multi-distance festive event on November 23rd, 2019! Athletes can choose from a half-marathon distance (13.1 miles), or an 8K (4.971 mile) option. Bring your furry family members along for the run/walk as well.
Race events and each race distance will begin at the Catawba Meadows Park Ball Fields. There will be multiple water and fueling stations along the half marathon course and 8K course.
Check in and packet pick up is 6:45am - 7:50am the day of the race. Follow the signs to the Parking Area to the right of the four way stop. Check in ans starting area will be at the shelter near the concession stands, in the observation area overlooking the ball fields.
Bring your lawn chairs and your family and join us for the post-race party that will include lunch! And of course, this is a dog-friendly event!

A Better Life Animal Rescue is a foster based rescue in Burke County, NC. We are dedicated to saving all companion animals whose lives are in jeopardy. Through
rescue from kill facilities, rehabilitation of sick and un-socialized pets, abandonment, and assistance to economically challenged families, with a 100% spay/neuter program, A Better Life Animal Rescue hopes to end pet overpopulation, assist families so that they can retain their pets and strengthen the family unit, and place all adoptable dogs and cats in loving homes.
