This Virtual 5k is the spring fundraiser for University of North Carolina at Pembroke Chapter of the Public Relations Student Society of America, a pre-professional organization that helps enhance students' education in public relations and professional development.

Thank you for your interest in the PRSSA Virtual 5k!
This event is a virtual 5k walk or run that takes place from April 25 through May 2. Participants have the entire week (actually eight days) to complete the 5k at their own pace, which means a person can complete the race in one day or over eight. If a participant completes the race in segments (e.g., runs one mile per day), they should log the time spent walking/running/jogging without including the time between those periods.
Logging time is completely optional, but all participants are encouraged to mark when they complete the race. To do this, go to Results tab, which can be found on the main page.
Since the event is virtual, participants may choose their own race location; the total distance just has to cover 5 kilometers or 3.1 miles. Please social distance and follow all CDC guidelines for the safety of everyone involved with the race and in the community.
