Cancelled Due to HURRICANE HELENE' damage
We are truly disappointed to cancel this years Fall 10M and 5k Trail Race. Unfortunately, with less than 5 days to finish the clean up there is just no way to get the trails into a safe condition. Follow our Facebook page for photos and updates on the restoration process.
You have a couple of options:
- You can consider your registration a donation and when we have our next race we will enter you for free. (Shooting for April 2025)
- You can request a refund now. Please understand the refund will be for the amount we received (registration - processing fee = your refund amount)

Race Description
Start Times
10 Mile starts at 9 am. Chips will be used with a staggered start. You may start anytime after you pick up your chip.
5K will begin at 9am. Start times will be staggered, and you may begin as soon as you pick up your chip.
Course Description
As usual, both races will begin at the Ranger Station, then down to the River Trail passing by the playground.......
10 mile course heads west along the River Trail, right on Wild Turkey Trail, left on Flint Hill, right on College Farm, cross the creek and left on Running Cedar, follow the gravel road back to the gate, left on the Sandy Run Trail, right on Chestnut Oak, cross the gravel road and back on the Running Cedar Trail, right on College Farm, cross the creek, cross the power line, right on Flint Hill, right on Nicholsonville to the campground, follow the River Trail back, and finish at the playground.
5K course is out and back along the River Trail. Participants will start after the 10 milers.
Packet Pick-Up
September 11, 2024, Friday 3-7pm at the Ranger Station, 126 Broad River Road, Shelby, NC.
