Habitat Hammerbird 5K and One Mile Fun Run

2024 Details 

Our race gives participants a chance to see first-hand the Boston-Thurmond neighborhood, where Habitat for Humanity has built, remodeled or repaired many houses since 1985. Runners and walkers begin and end the 5K at Kimberley Park Elementary School, where a number of children from Habitat families are past or current students.

Packet pick-up in advance of the race will be held at Fleet Feet, 278 Harvey Street, Winston-Salem, on Friday, May 3 from 4 to 7 p.m. 

All participants ages 8 and older receive a t-shirt. (We cannot guarantee requested t-shirt sizes for those registering after April 15.)

5K Race Run/Walk Pricing: 

Early Bird Price: Now through Saturday, April 6: $30 (Registration by April 6 guarantees we will have your size t-shirt on race day.)

Sunday, April 7 through Wednesday, May 1: $35 (Online registration closes at 11:59 p.m. on May 1. After May 1, you will not be able to register until Friday, May 3 at Packet Pickup. The race price will increase to $40.)

Pricing for One Mile Run/Walk:

Early Bird price now through Saturday, April 6: $20

Sunday, April 7 through Wednesday, May 1: $25 (online registration closes at 11:59 p.m. May 1). After May 1, you will not be able to register until Friday, May 3 at Packet Pickup. The race price will increase to $30.
