Special Olympics Forsyth County offers year-round sports and wellness opportunities to over 1,000 local athletes with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Special Olympics provides opportunities for children and adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.
Join us for the third Special Olympics Forsyth County 5k, and 1 Mile Fun Walk & Roll! This year's race has transitioned to an all virtual event due to recent COVID-19 metrics in Forsyth County. Please join us this year for what we promise to be a thrilling event conducted in a different format. We continue to strive for the safety of participants, volunteers, and spectators. But we promise it will still be fun and a high-value event for all participants! Please join us in October and run, walk, or roll to support Special Olympics Forsyth County!

ALL Virtual 5K & 1 Mile Walk, Run, & Roll FINISHERS ELIGIBLE FOR DOOR PRIZES
If you submit a time, then you are in the drawing for some awesome door prizes! Door prizes include gift certificates from various local businesses and much more! Finish your race and submit your time to be eligible!
Packet Pickup
5K Race t-shirts will be available for all participants registered by September 18th. There is an additional cost for 1 Mile Fun Run & Roll T-shirts. T-shirts will be available for pick up September 27th-October 1st at the Black Phillips Smith Government Center (2301 N. Patterson Ave, Winston-Salem, NC 27105) from 1:00pm-4:00pm on each day.

Virtual Race Rules
Virtual races have become a new normal in this age of coronavirus. And people love them!
You must register to participate in the Special Olympics 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run, Walk & Roll events.
You can run your virtual race anytime between Saturday, October 2nd and Saturday, October 30th.
Results must be reported no later than 11:59pm on Saturday, October 30th.
You can run on any course you choose.
Note that you must be registered and have an assigned bib number to submit results. Look up your bib number on your registration confirmation email or on the Find A Participant link above after registering. All results must be submitted to the Race Director.
