Description
The next quarterly Hanes Park Cleanup is scheduled for July 15, 2023 from 10am to 12pm.
Come out and join us in helping to keep Hanes Park BEAUTIFUL!
Twin City Track Club along with many others utilize the park for training, events, races, and more. Lets do our part in helping to keep this thriving park clean for everyone to use and enjoy. In past cleanups, we found not only trash but many interesting items including a half of a bike, a box spring, a shovel, and more...what can we find this time??!! We will provide the trash/recycling bags, gloves, hand sanitizer and bottled water...we need you to provide the time and effort to help us keep our park clean!
Check in at the track near the tennis center, we will be stationed there with all the supplies you will need. We encourage you to wear shoes/clothing you don't mind getting dirty....and if you're feeling really adventurous bring your water shoes/rainboots and you can help clean out the creek too! We hope you will bring a family member, friend, child, etc to share in the fun with....and yes picking up trash can be fun...never know what kind of treasures you might find while your out there....as they say "One man's trash is another man's treasure"!
