HEALs to the Pavement Walk/Run

Sat October 1, 2022 Omaha, NE 68131 US

3110 Farnam St
(Turner Park at Midtown Crossing)
Omaha, NE US 68131

Each October, in recognition of pregnancy and infant loss awareness month, this event provides an opportunity for community members to gather in remembrance of loved ones lost and to support of one another.

The registration fee is WAIVED for the walk portion of the event for 2022!  We’d greatly appreciate any goodwill donations to help keep grief support services free for those who need them. T-shirts (both adult and youth sizes) as well as yard signs can be ordered in the "Store" through September 26th.  Proceeds from the event support the programs and services of HEALing Embrace.

  • Memorial & Activity Tents Open
  • We encourage all who are completing their “scrapbook-themed” baby yard signs to, once completed, place their signs along the run/walk route for the community to view and learn more about their beloved children. Special markers and other craft supplies are available in the activity tents.
  • Vendor Booths and Yard Games Open
  • Please take time to learn about the many organizations supporting our event.

  • Welcome Message from HEALing Embrace Co-Founder, Shawna Hoffman
  • Music Provided by Rooted Rhythm Syndicate. Midtown Crossing Restaurants are open for Take-Out ordering. Please use the posted QR codes to order, then pick-up and enjoy them with other families in attendance in our special event dining area.

  • Run/Walk Official Start
  • Participants are more than welcome to run or walk the route at their convenience/preference throughout the event. This is an untimed event.

  • Roll Call
  • We respectfully request all who are in attendance to listen, reflect, and show support as we read, together, the names of the children we are remembering today.

  • Event Concludes
  • We’ll hold you in our hearts until we meet again. Please feel free to take the memorial items you made or that displayed your child or children’s name(s) today. We plan to hold a special “Light the Night” event later this month.
