Description

The Family Promise of Essex County 5K Run/Walk and Team Stroll will be held on Sunday, May 5, 2024 at Brookdale Park located in the townships Montclair and Bloomfield. The USATF race will start at 8:30am and the Team Stroll begins at 10:30am. There will also be a 100 yard Kid's Fun Run taking place between the 5K and the Team Stroll for children under the age of 12.  
All proceeds benefit Family Promise of Essex County (FPE). Our mission at FPE is to help homeless and at-risk families achieve self-sufficiency by providing shelter, social services, and housing assistance through a community-based approach. Please  join us to help us raise awareness and critical funds to help support families throughout Essex County.
In addition to participating either event, we encourage you to click on the Donate tab above to set up an Individual or Team fundraising page in order to help us reach our fundraising goal of $50,000. T-shirts will be available for anyone who registers for the 5K and Team Stroll prior to April 20. FPR 5K Course Map and Parking information

The course Starts on the straightaway of the track inside of Brookdale Park.  Course continues two full loops, and a third partial loop, around the outer ring path inside the park road. The Finish line will be located at the split to the left, soon after passing the 3-mile mark. Runners must stay on the path at all times.

There are parking lots (circled in orange) on either side of the track and parking is also permitted along the inner roads of the park on both sides of the track, accessed via Watchung Avenue or Bellevue Avenue. Registration, refreshments and activities will be located in the picnic area just south of the track. Restrooms are also located near registration.
