Description
Elizabeth High School - FJCA Physical Education staff in collaboration with the American Cancer Society will be hosting its FOURTH ANNUAL 5k run/walk! Whether you’re a competitive runner or just a casual runner, or even just someone who is looking to get some good exercise by walking, the Elizabeth Relay for Life 5K Run/Walk is for you! All ages are welcome!
We are looking to encourage physical activity, bring the community together and to raise money to help fund cancer research in collaboration with the American Cancer Society.
100% of the money raised will go to the American Cancer Society to help fund cancer research.
Registration
Race day registration and bib pickup will open at 9:00am on the day of the event. Race day registration fee: $20.
The race will go on rain or shine.
There will be water stations for the runners as well.
Invite family, friends, and co-workers to join the movement to help the fight against cancer! On-line registration ends on April 4th. Credit cards not accepted on race day.

Exercise in the great outdoors is perhaps one of the most beneficial activities for you and your furry friend. Whether you walk, jog, or run is based on both your pets and your own preference and activity levels. You need to find a happy medium and set a pace that works for both of you.

In 2023 we had a visit from Chris Wragge from CBS News. Chris Wragge was looking for extraordinary people doing extraordinary things. Mr. Morsella (the coordinator of the Relay for Life Event that is held in Elizabeth NJ), whose son Davide suffers from a rare debilitating illness, which took years to diagnose. The fact that Mr. Morsella runs our Relay for Life Event with the National Honor Society every year was of great interest to CBS.

Parking
There is plenty of parking for this event. Parking is located across the street from the Cranford Campus of Union College of Union County.
