Why Join Us?
5K Run/Walk to honor three fallen firefighters – Tom Stewart, III, Chief James Sylvester and Deputy Chief John West, who gave their lives in the line of duty trying to save three little girls in a fire in Gloucester City on July 4, 2002. Sadly, they all perished.

Course & Logistics (View Map)
Parking, Event Day Entry and Awards will take place at Gloucester City Fire Headquarters. Buses will transport participants from registration/packet pick-up in Gloucester City to the start line in Mt. Ephraim. There will be no event day registration at the race start point.
The 3.1-mile course is “point to point.” Starting at Grant Avenue and Bell Road in Mt. Ephraim and will end on King Street at Gloucester City Fire Headquarters. It is a fast, flat course, Police controlled and passes by each one of the Fallen Firefighters’ homes – retracing their steps on July 4, 2002.
Buses will transport you to the starting line at the Mt. Ephraim Fire Department.

Late entry and packet pick-up closes in Gloucester City at 8:15am! Last bus to race start will leave at 8:30am . . .

All Team registrations must be mailed together.
Must be present to receive awards at Award Ceremony – NO EXCEPTIONS!
Entry Information
- Single Entrants can also participate on firefighter team, Law enforcement team, or school team.
- No mail-in entry form after a postmark date of 9/27/21.
- No online entry from 12:00 midnight on 10/2/21.
- Thereafter, entry only on Wednesday, 10/6/21 and Thursday, 10/7/21 from 3pm to 7pm at Running Co. of Haddonfield, and Friday, 10/8/21 (4:30pm to 7:00pm) and Saturday, 10/9/21 (7:00am to 8:15am) at Gloucester City Fire Headquarters.
- A Special Registration will be held on Wednesday, 9/15/21 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at The Running Co. of Haddonfield, 121 East Kings Highway, Haddonfield Cost to register is only $20 on this day!
Paying it Forward
All money raised from this event unds educational scholarships for children of Camden County’s police, fire and EMS personnel killed in the line of duty. As well as annually providing a $1,000 scholarship to a student from Gloucester City High School, Gloucester Catholic High School and Audubon High School. The schools the three fallen firefighters attended.
