Join us on Saturday, November 8th, 2025 for the 2nd annual Cait’s Walk, Run, Skip or Dance 5k to benefit the Infinite Love & Light Foundation!
Participants can choose between a 5k run or a 1-mile walk, and feel free to skip or dance along the way, just as Cait would do! The 1-mile walk is pet friendly for all well-behaved pups. We will also have light refreshments, raffle prizes and a 50/50 where all proceeds will go to our fundraising goal. Registration will begin at 8:00 am and the race/walk will start around 9:00 am. Registration will be held under the pavilion next to the Newton Lake Park Playground. All are welcome, and we look forward to seeing you there!
The Infinite Love & Light Foundation is a non-profit created to carry on the legacy of the late Caitlin Catanella Grussenmeyer, who lost her battle with pancreatic cancer in December of 2021. Cait impacted so many with her infectious smile, positive energy, and her "yes you can" motivational mindset. The light that Cait brought into this world was second to none. In carrying out our mission, and continuing Cait's endless desire to help others, the Infinite Love & Light Foundation helps to raise funds to support various causes, such as cancer research, educational scholarships, and financial support for medical services to those in need, just to name a few. Simply put, our objective is to continue to spread the love and light that Cait displayed each and every day. (501c3)
This year, the Infinite Love and Light Foundation will be donating all proceeds raised to two very deserving families.
The first, is from Haddon Heights, they are the Thompson family, and here is their story:
At just 28 years old, Michael has already overcome more than most faces in a lifetime. In 2021, he married the love of his life, Demi, and just one year later, beat the odds and overcame a sudden and unexplained case of heart failure. However, his proudest moments came with the births of his two beautiful children—Mikey, now 2, and Lainey, 1.
This past Christmas, Michael received news that no one ever wants to receive that he was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer. Since then, he began treatments with MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper, facing each day with courage, hope, and an unwavering love for his young family.
Though he and his family remain hopeful for the future, the financial strain of treatment, time away from work, and travel have been overwhelming.
The second family comes from Cherry Hill but have since moved to Pennsylvania, but their roots in Cherry Hill are long standing. In June of 2025, Julie Boswell, wife to John Boswell (CHHSW Class of 2009) noticed their 2-year-old daughter Adeline’s (“Dolly”) stomach looked off and they decided to take her to CHOP. On June 30th their world was turned upside down, the Doctors told John and Julie, “We found a mass on your daughter’s kidney,” a parent’s biggest fear had now become their reality.
Adeline has been diagnosed with Wilms tumor which is a rare childhood kidney cancer seen most often in children under five. On July 2nd Dolly had her left kidney and the tumor removed. Dolly’s tumor has more aggressive cells so she will be treated with chemo and radiation over the next 25 weeks.
John and Julie, have two other young children Bennett (4) and June (3 months old). John recently changed careers from being a chef to a Fireman and Julie is currently on maternity leave but works full time. Due to Dolly’s treatment and taking care of their two other children, John and Julie are unsure as to what the future may hold.
A friend of Julie’s said something that stuck with her, and it really applies to both families - “The only way out is through.”
If we can help these two families during their time of “Through” it would mean the world to them.
With your help, we hope to soften the financial burden for their family, and bring some much needed love and light into their lives during this difficult time.
