Description
A Message from Chip Chapman:
On Saturday, September 28, I will be running 24 miles (yep 24 miles!) to raise money for one of my favorite charitable organizations: Feed My Starving Children (FMSC).
What’s so special about Feed My Starving Children? It’s simple – I love it when people in our community unite to pack meals. The Haddonfield Council of Churches has been hosting an annual food-packing event since 2013. This year’s event will take place on October 25-27. These meals, packed with a special blend of vitamins and nutrients, will enable severely malnourished children around the world to survive and flourish. Sadly, the #1 cause of death in children under 5 years old is malnourishment. FMSC’s mission (and mine) is to eradicate these deaths by making sure plenty of nourishing food reaches children all over the world.
Our goal is to raise enough money to buy the ingredients to pack 400,000 meals this October bringing the 7- year total to 2,000,000 meals packed by our local community!
That’s where my 24-mile run comes into play. And here’s how you can help:
• Sponsor me by making a donation. The ingredients for one meal cost just 24 cents so I will be running a 4-mile course six times to symbolize the 24 cents cost per meal. Donating $1 for each mile I run will allow us to pack 100 meals for starving children. To make a donation in any amount click the "Donate" button above.
• Run or walk with me. Join me and run as many loops as you’d like. Walkers are asked to walk the first loop only. There is no set registration fee. A donation in any amount will allow you to participate. A gift of $24 will allow us to pack 100 meals in your name. With your gift of $24 or more, you will receive a FMSC tech t-shirt on the day of the run. To sign up as a Runner or walker click the "Sign Up" button above.
Cash or checks will be accepted. Please make checks payable to FMSC.
The 4-mile course starts and finishes at the Haddonfield Running Company store, passing by each of the 10 churches in the Haddonfield Council of Churches.
Day of registration starts at 7:30AM. The run and walk start at 8AM.

I am counting on you to help me and our team feed hungry children. For some, it could be a matter of life or death. Thanks for your support!
