Hero Boys Refund Options
As a local nonprofit organization, Hark-ALS supports Girls on the Run of Central NJ and Hero Boys. We rely on program fees to support our lean operations and to ensure all boys & girls in our community can participate.
This pandemic will have a significant impact on our organization’s finances as we have already incurred costs in preparation for a spring season including volunteer background checks, insurance, materials, coach training and more. We are in the process of putting emergency plans in place to ensure that we will be able to serve the girls and boys in the future.
As someone who shares our passion for inspiring the next generation to be joyful, health, confident and courageous, we are hopeful that you may consider donating some or all of your registration fee to the organization in lieu of a refund. We will gratefully provide a tax letter for your records should you choose one of those options.
Please select the refund option that best suits your family. To best manage the refund process efficiently, all refunds must be requested by 5pm on May 8th, if you do not request a refund by this time, we will gratefully consider your full registration fee a donation. Requested refunds will be processed 1 week after May 8th. Refunds will be returned to the method of payment used when you registered your son.
Thank you, please stay safe, we hope to see everyone in the fall for Hero Boys at Village Elementary School!

Description
Boys grow up with the imagery of Superheroes racing around in their minds. They connect with them, they pretend to be them, and as they imagine their future they believe they can BE a Superhero. Perhaps boys can all become Superheroes, in their own way. Boys connect to superheroes because they identify with positive male role models, heroes who display courage in standing for something positive while helping others. This hero spirit should live with boys forever, never to be lost! HERO Boys™ learn to run, learn to challenge themselves and set goals, learn to discover to the talents and strengths existing inside of them that make them unique, and learn to lead, set the example, and help others. To be a HERO.
