Description

Race Purpose: #R3: Roots, Rock, Run 5K community walk/run and 1-mile walk is GrassROOTS Community Foundation's public health initiative that benefits the SuperGirls Society and our leadership camp for black girls: SuperCamp.

Led by Olympic runner Miki Barber and by the Director of Bloomfield Track and Field Programs, Coach Lisa Morgan. 

Location: Weequahic Park Track, 1 Thomas Carmichael Dr., Newark, NJ

Entry: Preregistration @ https://runsignup.com/Race/NJ/Newark/RootsRockRun5KNewark

Preregistration FREE for all Essex County youth 18 and under.

First 25 registration is free(No T-Shirt), use coupon code "R3Newark25" (if it doesn't work, then the first 25 have been used up!).

Registration will then be $15 until May 1st, $20 until May 20th and $25 until June 8th.

Registration will be $30 on race day, 6/9/18

If you registered for free, you can purchase a t-shirt race day for $20.  

Amenities: T-shirts for all paid registrants; water and refreshments, prizes too.

Race Results: Race will be professionally timed by DQ Events.; Results will be found at dqevents.com
