Description
The Head for the Holiday's 5K is a fun way to get decked out and be festive, while racing to raise funds and awareness to support a very important cause. Runners and walkers of all levels and ages are invited to participate, and strollers are welcome!
Holiday attire is not required but is highly encouraged, so put on your favorite ugly Christmas sweater, Santa hat, elf ears, or tie jingle bells to your shoe laces – anything that sparkles and jingles is highly encouraged! Come run, walk and be merry! 'Tis the season to live it up and be jolly for a reason! Bring a team of friends, family and coworkers to run or walk, spread smiles and good cheer...and be an ambassador of hope! 100% of the proceeds from this event will support the Children’s Brain Tumor Family Foundation.
Don't live in NJ or can't join us that morning, that's OK....you can still be part of the fun! Sign up for the Virtual Race (price includes shipping of race t-shirt), then grab a friend, put on your favorite holiday attire, and hit the road! Run or walk a 5K where ever and when ever you want!!

ABOUT THE CAUSE
Proceeds from the Head for the Holidays 5K Run will benefit the Children's Brain Tumor Family Foundation (CBTFF), an all volunteer based 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to raising awareness and funding research for rare and inoperable pediatric brain tumors. Brain tumors have the highest death rate of all childhood cancers, but they have one of the lowest levels of research funding. The CBTFF was founded in 2015 by four families, united by tragedy and heartbroken from the experience of having to watch their children and loved ones battle the devastating diagnosis of an inoperable brain tumor. The organization is designed to help grieving and frustrated communities convert their passion and anger into awareness, support, and donations for research that is critically underfunded and highly dependent upon financial contributions from the private sector. The funds raised by the CBTFF support the Children’s Brain Tumor Project at the Weill Cornell Brain and Spine Center.
