Our Mission

Family Promise of Morris County’s mission is to mobilize community resources and people to end the crisis of homelessness and housing instability faced by families and individuals by providing a continuum of services leading to independence.

What is the Homebound Hustle?

On Saturday, November 5, 2022, Family Promise of Morris County is hosting our 2nd Annual Steve Hammond Homebound Hustle 5K & 1-Mile Walk to end homelessness and increase housing stability in our community. Lace up your running shoes and join us on this beautiful, scenic cross country course, located in Central Park of Morris County!

By walking or running, you're supporting our most vulnerable community members as they endure the long-lasting effects of the pandemic and worsening housing crisis. All funds raised will further our mission to end homelessness and housing insecurity in Morris County.

About Steve Hammond:

From his role as Public Works Director and County Engineer to his time serving on the Board of Family Promise of Morris County, Stephen W. Hammond was a long-time advocate of equity and equality for the Morris County community. His kind heart, excellent sense of humor, and humble nature will never be forgotten, but rather celebrated by all who had the honor of knowing him.

The Steve Hammond Homebound Hustle 5K & 1 Mile Walk honors Steve's legacy and serves as a reminder of his leadership and positive impact within our community.
