Due to the rain this week, runners can expect water spots and possibly spots of mud.
Walkers should expect to encounter wet surfaces and may wish to wear rain boots or waterproof footwear.
Please wear appropriate footwear.
There may be slippery grass in one portion of the race but most of the race will now be on pavement.
Hazards
In the event of wet weather, there will be areas of the race course that include mud and standing water. Wet conditions make grass slippery and uneven. Please exercise caution, rocks, while unlikely, may be present; unexpected footing in grassy areas may be encountered even though it appears to be a lovely, flat and open field. Emergency services will be on site to provide direct care if necessary. If you become injured or notice a dangerous situation developing, please alert the nearest volunteer.
The event will be held rain or shine. Bring a clean t-shirt, socks and shoes for after the race. Your feet may be wet and muddy. Ticks have been seen, so consider wearing insect repellant and checking after the event.
Refunds
We are not able to provide refunds for pre-registered runners. If you decide not participate, your entry fee will be considered a donation and will support our work to provide free weekend meals to local children who qualify for free or reduced fee lunches.
Inclement Weather Plan
The event will be held rain or shine. In the event of severe weather, the race may be delayed but there will be a few events and vendors inside the Windsor Athletic Club.
