Description
Runners and Friends:
As coordinator of the Bill Oliver 5K, I am thrilled to announce that this annual event WILL take place in 2020. We’ve made some modifications for safety, but we consider this tradition to be essential! Please note that the 1 Miler has been cancelled
Runners will follow the same course, but be spread out from Saturday, June 27 to Friday, July 3. Participants will complete the course on their own and self-submit their times. Times can be submitted by clicking on the RESULTS Icon located at the top right of this page. They can run or walk solo, or with a very small group within the state’s current guidelines for gatherings. For more details, visit the Riverton 4th of July website.

To print out a wearable bib# click HERE - Find your name then click on your bib#.
You must register online by 11:59 a.m. Friday, July 3; no in-person registration. You will be able to print a bib to identify you as participating in this historic run, and you’ll get a commemorative T-shirt delivered to your address within 4 weeks of the event. The lag time allows us to ensure that every participant gets the shirt size entered with other registration data. Regular runners: Don’t miss this year, or your shirt collection will miss a historic entry!
The popular Team Competition will return for 2020, and detailed rules for that category are available here. Team Entry Closes on Friday June 26 at 11:59 PM
If you have already registered for either the 5K or 1 Mile event, select one of the options listed above. If you entered between April 26th & May 29th and now opt to participate in the virtual run then your credit card will then be debited.
The 1 mile run has been cancelled.
I’m a runner, a Riverton resident, and the volunteer who manages this race. I can’t imagine the 4th of July without the Bill Oliver 5K! These necessary modifications will get us through 2020, and I’ll look forward to seeing you on the course in 2021.
Sincerely,
John Laverty, Race Director
