The Empower 5k Run & 1 Mile Walk gives you the chance to join with fellow community members in support those who have experienced trauma in their lives - whether the trauma is the result of homelessness, poverty, violence, addiction, the loss of a loved one to homicide or suicide, domestic violence, or other traumatic and complex life circumstances. The Empower 5k Run & 1 Mile Walk brings together people who have experienced trauma, their loved ones, and advocates.
Start a team that honors and celebrates:
- the healing & empowerment of a survivor
- the memory of lost loved ones
- the passion and commitment of a local advocate
- your support of a pathway to healing
Your involvement as a runner, walker, sponsor, or donor will support people whose lives have been altered by trauma. Event proceeds will provide counseling, safe housing, and advocacy to help people to heal and follow a path forward.
