Have you ever experienced the runner’s high that comes with conquering a race? There’s nothing quite like it.


Whether it’s your first ever 5k or your first in a long time, Fleet Feet Northern New Jersey has a training program made for all levels that will get you to the finish line of one of the most exciting 5ks in Union County of the year: Summit Area YMCA - Love and Legacy 5K


Join us for a 4 week fast track training program beginning April 7th, 2025. This program offers a balance of run/walk workouts, cross training and rest days to gradually increase your fitness. Plus, your coaches and fellow training group members will provide the guidance and motivation you need to stay on track and have fun along the way. The program culminates with running the Summit Area YMCA - Love and Legacy 5K taking place on Sunday, May 4, 2025.

What's Included: 

A 4 week training program with certified RRCA (Road Runner Club of America) & USATF (USA Track & Field) coaches.
Two in person runs per week: Tuesday at 6:00pm & Saturdays at 8:30am.
Fit Night with a 10% off discount, Tuesday April 8th 5pm-6pm
Cross Training Session.
Optional run analysis for a donation.

Summit Area YMCA - Love and Legacy 5K Race Details: The Love and Legacy 5K, taking place on Sunday, May 4, 2025. This heartwarming event brings families and community members together to celebrate the special individuals who have shaped our lives. We are eagerly anticipating another fantastic turnout.

Since founding in 1886, the Summit Area YMCA has been dedicated to fostering youth development, promoting healthy living, and championing social responsibility. Our commitment to inclusivity ensures that everyone—regardless of age, gender, disability, or income—has access to the opportunities they need to thrive. Funds raised from the 5K will support critical community programs, providing financial assistance for childcare, camp, and health and wellness resources. Donations also sustain free initiatives like LIVESTRONG® at the YMCA, a program for cancer survivors, and Achievers, mentoring program for high school students.
