Mother's Day, Sunday, May 11, 2025, Rubin Run participants will be Running for Inclusion. Participate in the 10K, 5K or the Kids Fun Run and stay for the Finish Fest.
General Race Information
WEATHER: All events will take place rain or shine.
FEES: Race entry fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.
AMENITIES: Giveaways to race participants while supplies last.
PETS: The Rubin Run is a dog free event. Please leave pets at home.
FOOD: Food provided is kosher certified.
TIMING: We use Chrono Track B-Tag electronic timing. All participants of the 10K, & 5K MUST wear a bib number on the front of their shirt. Awards are determined by clock time only.
FINISH/TIME LIMIT: In the interest of safety, and to allow streets to resume normal traffic, 10K. and 5K racecourses will remain open until 11:30 am at which time the course will be cleared of remaining runners.
AWARDS: Prizes will be awarded to the overall top three male and top three female winners in the 10K and 5K races. Prize awards for first place, second place and third place. Age group awards: The first-place winner in each gender, each age group will be awarded a prize. Age groups: 80+, 70 - 79, 60-69, 50-59, 40-49, 30-39, 20-29, 10-19. Fun Run participants under 12 will receive a medal when they cross the finish line. Para athlete awards: The overall top three winners in each race will receive prize awards. No duplicate awards.
OTHER: Plan to arrive at least one hour prior to your race start. 10K and 5K courses will be swept at 11:30 am
For everyone's safety and as a courtesy to fast runners, slower runners, walkers and strollers are asked to start the race towards the back of the pack.
Parking
Rubin Run Satellite Parking with Shuttle Service to the JCC available Sunday, May 12 at 910 Sylvan Avenue.
For Parking:
Look for signage along Route 9W/Sylvan Avenue, two traffic lights south of Clinton Avenue (on the left when heading north), directing you to the Rubin Run parking spaces at 910 Sylvan Avenue, Englewood Cliffs. Once you enter the complex, go straight back and follow signs for the 910 building. Designated parking area will be directly across from the building on the left.
Shuttle Service:
Frequent shuttle service will be available for the race on Sunday, May 12 from 7:15 am – 1:00 pm. Pick ups and drops offs will be marked with signage at 910 Sylvan Avenue and at the Kaplen JCC on the Palisades at 411 East Clinton Avenue, Tenafly. The last shuttle from the JCC to the 910 Sylvan Avenue is 1:00 pm.
Please DO NOT PARK at the St. John Theologian Greek Church for Rubin Run.
Logistics & Security for Sunday, May 12
JCC Parking & Local Traffic
The JCC driveway will be closed at the following times for runners’ safety:
7:45-8:15 am • 9:45 -10:15 am
The races will originate at the JCC causing traffic delays on East Clinton Avenue and Woodland Street from approximately 7am-noon. Some side roads in the area will also be affected. The JCC main parking lot usually fills to capacity early in the day. Street parking is limited. Please obey any temporary parking restrictions and obey all traffic signs. Obey all traffic signs. Note that parking is not permitted on E. Clinton west of the JCC entrance or at St. John the Theologian Greek Church.
Satellite Parking with Shuttle Service to the JCC, Sunday, May 12

First shuttle leaves for the JCC at 7:15am
Return shuttle- Drop off- and pickup on E. Clinton Avenue west of the driveway. Kaplen JCC on the Palisades at 411 East Clinton Avenue, Tenafly.
Last shuttle leaves the JCC at 1pm sharp
JCC Programming
• All health and wellness facilities will be open to members.
• All Group Exercise classes are cancelled.
Safety & Security
• Please leave your bags in your car. All unattended bags and backpacks at the JCC or on the course will be removed and disposed of by the police. Storage of personal belongings is not available.
• FOR MEMBERS: Use the Main Entrance to access the building. Please use your JCC App or membership card to enter the JCC.
• FOR RUNNERS: Please note that roadways will be open to limited traffic on the course.
Please follow signage and heed volunteer’s directions and stay on the side of the road designated by Tenafly Police for our race.
