The 5th Annual "Ricky" 267 5K Run/Walk and Kids Fun Run
In honor of the fallen heroes of the Union City Police Department from 2016-2022

This event started in 2017 to honor and memorialize the fallen heroes of the Union City Police Department: Officer Ricardo Fernandez in 2016, Lt. Mark Zeitounian in 2017, Officer John Kamel in 2017. The event continues to honor them as well as other fallen heroes of the Union City Police Department that have also passed since 2016. Lt. Gregory Katseyeanis in 2018, , Detective Alex Ruperto in 2020, Captain James D'Andrea in 2020
These heroes served our community with the highest integrity and honorably represented the Union City Police Department. It is now our duty as a community to make sure it will never be forgotten the ultimate sacrifice these fine heroes made. Through this event, we honor and remember them.
The "Ricky: 267 5K Run/Walk and Kids Fun Run is supported by the PBA #8 and FOP in alliance with the Union City Police Department to honor these fallen heroes. Proceeds of this event will go toward a scholarship for Union City High School Senior pursuing a career in law enforcement in memory of these fallen heroes.
