First Responders Unity 5K

Sunday, September 13, 2026 RACE

RACE DAY AGENDA
Arrival
Please arrive no later than 7:40 am - the race starts promptly at 8:00am

Parking will be off of Volunteer Way - it is a short walk to the starting line at the Ocean County Training Center

6:45 am Registration starts
Check in table will be near the starting line

Bibs will be distributed and must be worn by 5K runners - chips are in the bibs

T-shirts will be distributed to runners who signed up prior to the 2 week deadline. Remainder of shirts will be offered to runners based on registration date.

7:45 am Information
Route information will be provided

8:00 am 5K at starting line

8:10 am 1 Mile Walk at starting line

9:30 am Awards at the main building

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Half of the 5 K and most of the 1 mile are trails. They will be well marked and cleared, however these are the pine barrons so you may want to use some bug spray and be careful of roots.

Bathroom facilities are in the rear of the parking lot in the building with the red roof and red doors.
Food vendors will be on-site and ready by 7:00am
Touch-A-Truck begins at 8:00 am and ends at 12:00pm

Event Description

We want to unite the three branches of first responders by bringing them together in this event!!! Our feature event is the 5K, but there is so much more: 1 mike walk, touch a truck, food vendors and special awards!!! Categories include teams and individual runners. Proceeds will go to support our volunteer agency Waretown First Aid Squad.
