Waves are 3 minutes apart:

Wave PC Open Pink Cap - PC Open Division Triathlon TBA
Wave 1 Yellow Cap - Triathlon Males, Duathlon, Duathlon Relay

Wave 3 Orange Cap - Super Sprint Males

Water Temperature Friday 6/17: 77°F

As of Friday this race is currently wetsuit legal. We will retake the temperature Saturday morning and make an announcement before the race starts.

  • USAT rules state that competitors may wear wetsuits if the water temperature is 78 degrees or lower.
  • USAT rules also state that if the water temperature is between 78.1 – 83.9 degrees, competitors may wear wetsuits but will not be eligible for awards.
  • If the water temperature is 84 degrees or above, participants may NOT wear wetsuits.

PACKET PICKUP / REGISTRATION CHANGES

This year we are going digital. We are not having paper applications nor are we accepting cash. Everyone must sign up online. Online Registration closes when the race starts.
Please have the following items easily accesible to maintain the efficiency and speed of Packet Pickup:

  • Email Confirmation Bar Code Per Registrant (Printed or Digital) to scan, if not available we can manually look you up
  • USAT Membership ID (if applicable)
  • Proof of ID

WHERE AND WHEN

The race will take place Saturday June 18th, 2022 - 8:00 a.m. sharp.

All events start and finish at Belleplain State Forest, NJ.

RACE SERIES 2022

This event is part of the DQ Events Grand Prix and DQ Events Club Challenge.
You are scored for an overall placement, an age group placement, and for finishing the event. At the end of the series there will be prizes for free entries into 2022 and more! Kayak and Non-Multisport events do not gain points.
To be scored in the Grand Prix all you have to do is place in the Overall, Age Group, or finish the race!
To be scored in the Club Challenge you need to select your club during registration and then place in Overall, Age Group, or finish the race!

ITINERARY

Friday

Packet Picket Race Day only

Saturday

6:30 am - 7:45 am - Check-in, Packet Pickup, and Race-Day Registration online only if available (prices increased)
7:45 am - Pre-race briefing at Transition Area, after the briefing we will require ALL SWIMMERS to cross over the Swim timing mat before we can start the race
8:00 am - Races start (waves based on # of entrants)
Super Sprint Triathlon will start shortly after the last wave 

DISTANCES

The swim is in a fresh water lake, the bike and run will be contested on roads though scenic farmland, all right turns, course is well marked and marshaled, the course is flat and fast.

USAT INFORMATION

This is a USAT Sanctioned event. All participants must have an active USAT Membership that has not expired before the conclusion of the event and must follow all USAT rules and guidelines.

Membership Types
  • One Day Membership: $15
  • One Year Membership: $50
  • Three Year Membership: $135
Most Common Rules Violations
  • ALL athletes are required to show photo ID. NO ID, NO RACE, NO EXCEPTIONS!
  • Youth (17 and under) athletes without an ID must be accompanied by a parent/guardian with a photo ID
  • Annual members are required to bring their membership card every time they compete in a USAT Sanctioned event.

  • Athletes may only pick up their own packets. Under no circumstances may an athlete pick up a packet for another person.
  • No drafting
  • Headphones are prohibited
  • No riding in transition
  • Helmets/Chin straps must be worn securely fastened at all times while in possession of your bike. This means before, during, and after the event. This also means from the time you remove your bike from the rack at the start of the bike leg, until after you have placed your bike on the rack at the finish of the bike leg.
  • Verbal or physical abuse of others is not acceptable or tolerated. Participants shall refrain from unsportsmanlike conduct at all times while at the event and during competition, including the use of abusive language; violent acts; intentional misconduct; or any intimidating behavior directed toward, including but not limited to participants, officials, event staff, volunteers and spectators.

Go out on Meisle Road and make a right on Franks Road, then right on Sunset Road, then right onto 550 Spur or Hands Mill Road, picking up the sprint course

Next a right on Woodbine Road then right into Belleplain Forest on Henkensifkin Road and then Right on Meisle back to lake

Directions

From Philadelphia area:
Take Ben Franklin Bridge to I-76 east to NJ-42 South. Take NJ-55 South toward Deptford/Glassboro/Vineland. At the end of Route 55 the road will change to NJ-47/Delsea Drive go 2.8 miles and turn slight left onto New stage road/NJ-347 go 3.2 miles and turn left on route 550. At stop sign make a left. Turn right at the next intersection (blinking yellow light) Woodbine Ave and follow for 1.5 miles to park entrance on right. Go to first intersection and make right, then right and another right at the next intersection and you will be at the lake.

From Points South on Route 95:
Take Route 95N across the Delaware Memorial Bridge 
Take the I-295 N ramp toward NEW JERSEY TURNPIKE/NEW JERSEY.
Merge onto US-40 E via the ramp on the LEFT (Portions toll).
Take the exit toward ATLANTIC CITY.
Turn SLIGHT LEFT to take the US-40 E ramp toward ATLANTIC CITY.
Ramp becomes US-40 E.
Turn LEFT onto US-40/NJ-45/NJ-48/WEST AVE. 
Continue to follow US-40. Pass through 1 roundabout.
Merge onto NJ-55 S toward VINELAND/MILLVILLE/CAPE MAY.
Turn SLIGHT LEFT onto NJ-47/DELSEA DR.
Turn SLIGHT LEFT onto NEW STAGE RD/NJ-347.
for 3.5 miles and turn left on route 550. At stop sign make a left. Turn right at the 
next intersection Woodbine Ave and follow for 1.5 miles to park entrance on right. Go to first intersection and make right, then right and right at the next intersection and you will be at the lake
