Global Health Partnerships' 2021 Safari Run

Register for an in-person race on October 31, 2021. Please wear a mask while congregating near others.

Costumes encouraged! 

Online registration is open until Friday, October 29th 2021 at 5:00PM MST. You may also register in person at Heart & Sole Sports (3601 Eubank NE, Albuquerque, NM 87111) on Saturday, October 30th 2021 from 10:30AM-4:00PM or in person at the UNM North Golf Course (1117 Stanford DR. NE 87106) the morning of the event.

Events include:

8:30AM- Free Running Clinic for children led by local elite Kenyan athletes

9:00AM- Kids 1K

9:15: 5K (3.1 miles) Run/Walk and 8K (5miles) Run

**$10 for those 18 & under for 1K, 5K, and 8K.

Packet Pick-up will be held on Saturday, October 30th 2021 from 10:30AM- 4:00PM at Heart & Sole Sports (3601 Eubank NE, Albuquerque, NM 87111).

Instead of race t-shirts all entrants will receive a hand-carved wooden safari animal from Kenya, made by Kenyan artists in the village where Global Health Partnerships provides care. Handmade Kenyan baskets will be for sale at the event.

1st place male and female and 2nd place male and female

8K Race Awards:

1st place male and female

Age group awards:
18 & under: 1st and 2nd place male and female
19-29: 1st and 2nd place male and female
30-39: 1st and 2nd place male and female
40-49: 1st and 2nd place male and female
50-59: 1st and 2nd place male and female
60-69: 1st and 2nd place male and female
70 +: 1st and 2nd place male and female

100% of race proceeds go directly to medical projects in rural Kenya. The event benefits Global Health Partnerships (GHP), an Albuquerque based non-profit organization that provides medical care and humanitarian aid to the poor in rural Kenya, with local community support. GHP operates with an emphasis on maternal and child health, child nutrition and aid for the most impoverished families.
