Join us for the White Mountain Half Marathon on October 17, 2020.

Race Schedule:

7:30am packet pickup

8:30am Half Marathon Start

9:00am 5k and 1mile Start

This inaugural race takes place in October, starting and finishing at the beautiful Inn of the Mountain Gods Resort and Casino in Mescalero, NM, just outside Ruidoso.  Join us for a great run with arresting views of the Sacramento Mountain Range, Sierra Blanca and Lake Mescalero.  Stay for brunch! Our post-race celebration (all CDC COVID-19 safety precautions are required) includes beer, mimosas, music and delicious food. We welcome all runners from beginners to seasoned pros! 

PACKET PICKUP

Runners will be able to pick up their pre-packaged race packet (shirt, mask, and bib) on Friday, October 16th from 3:30-6:30pm at the staging area along the lake at the Inn of the Mountain Gods Resort.  Please reference the staging area map at the end of this info packet for location specifics.  Please be sure to follow CDC guidelines at the packet pickup by wearing your mask and socially distancing.  For those who have yet to register, registration will be available during the packet pickup.

HALF MARATHON
The Half Marathon is a gorgeous undulating course, starting and finishing at the Inn of the Mountain Gods Resort.  October in New Mexico is ideal running weather.  Make this amazing event your fall classic race.  Click on the link above for more details.

5K and 1Mile RUN/WALK
Set a PR or make this your first 5K or 1Mile.  Either way you'll have a blast and get amazing swag that you can't get anywhere else. Better yet, get to the post race party before those crazy Half Marathoners!

VIRTUAL RUNNERS AND WALKERS

If you sign up for a Virtual event, you'll receive your shirt and medal(half marathon) in the mail the week after the race.  In addition, by October 16th you'll receive an email regarding the Virtual results process so that you may submit your results to be included in the official results.  Virtual Racers will have from October 16th through November 1 to complete their virtual run and submit their times.  You will receive an email with a link to submit your times.  Your t-shirts and your medal will be mailed out the week of the 19th.  Please let us know if you have any questions.

COVID-19 SAFETY POLICY

The safety and health of all participants is paramount, and as such, all registrants and their associates will be required to follow CDC guidelines for the event. A social distancing start line procedure will be forthcoming in the final weeks, which will be tailored according to the number of participants and the need to put their safety first.

COVID-19 POLICY REGISTRATION POLICY

*We recognize the continued uncertainty surrounding public events, and White Mountain Half Marathon race organizers are still closely monitoring all developments related to COVID-19 in partnership with local health authorities.  At this point in time, we are still planning to host the event as scheduled on October 17, 2020.  However, given the rapidly changing environment around the virus, the status of our event is subject to change.  In as such, the race does not offer refunds, but due to any potential cancellations, we do have a Worry Free Registration Policy:

In response to the current uncertainty surrounding the staging of large community events because of COVID-19 public health crises, we are instituting a “worry free” registration policy for 2020 WMHM  registrations. If the 2020 WMHM is unable to be conducted for any reason related to the COVD-19 public health crisis, the event will take place as a Virtual Event with participants given the opportunity to participate virtually or the option to receive a one-time voucher that will allow them to register for free for any one future WMHM through 2022.

Details:

·       If 2020 WMHM is unable to be conducted in any form, all registrants will choose to complete the race virtually or receive a voucher that they will be able to redeem for a          free entry into one future WMHM  through the year 2022.

·       The event’s “no refunds/no transfers” policy will still be in effect, as we are still unable to offer any refunds or transfer your registration for any reason.

·       The voucher will be assigned to the registered participant and can only be redeemed by that participant, it cannot be transferred to another person.

·       Registrants who deferred their 2019 WMHM registration and HAVE REGISTERED for the 2020 WMHM will receive the voucher. If you do not redeem your 2020 Deferral            in 2020 for whatever reason, you will not receive a voucher. Vouchers are only for REGISTERED participants of the 2020 event.

·       All event add-ons (e.g. extra event swag) that a registrant has attached to their registration will be included in your voucher and will be added to your registration when            you redeem your voucher in the future WMHM event.

·       If the 2020 WMHM is conducted, no vouchers will be offered.
