Bicycle Skills Clinic

This clinic is designed for beginner to intermediate cyclists and multisport athletes.

Developing solid bike handling skills is such a crucial element of training and racing.  The snowball benefits from having sound bicycle handling skills are almost too numerous to count.

Most athletes focus on speed and power when riding their bikes and neglect cycling fundamentals.  Learning and developing sound handling skills will help to keep you safer, improve your confidence while riding your bike, and improve your stability on the bike (which translates to increased speed and power) in training and racing.  As you feel more confident and relaxed on the bike, you will feel more comfortable with harder efforts and faster speeds.

This clinic will focus on the following elements:

• Building confidence to signal while riding on the road so motorists and others on the road can anticipate your movements
• Building the skills and confidence to hydrate and fuel while on the bike with ease
• Building confidence when clipping in and out of clipless pedals
• Building the fundamental skills to ride with confidence and ease in any riding situation, including congested situations with other riders/traffic
• Building skills for efficiency on the bike, no matter what type of training or racing you do
