Can you paddle 55 miles for Clearwater’s 55th sailing season?

With 2 months to complete the challenge, can you paddle 55 miles for Clearwater's 55th sailing season? While this is a suggested goal, please note that any distance paddled is a huge support. Every mile paddled and dollar raised go towards supporting clean and healthy Hudson River ecosystems and communities! You can feel proud knowing that you are raising your paddle to support Hudson River Sloop Clearwater's award-winning environmental education and advocacy programs.

To participate, register here and pay the $50 entry fee + processing charge. Remember that this fee will go towards your total amount of money fundraised for the cause! 

Don't forget the most important part: to set up a fundraising page that you can share with your community. They can choose to donate to your individual campaign and follow your journey. This is a peer driven fundraiser and will not work without personal campaigning and fundraising efforts of participants. Create your customized page to build excitement for your activities and enable donations from friends and family. Share your progress and experiences on social media and encourage your followers to support you! 

Paddle in style with a 2024 limited edition Paddle for Our Hudson T-shirt!

Represent our first ever paddling fundraiser while you're out on the water! While it is not required, we strongly encourage that you purchase a shirt when participating in the event. Wearing the Paddle shirt will help spread the word about the fundraiser and Clearwater's mission. You might get other people involved by representing your efforts as you paddle! Every purchase goes directly towards supporting a clean and healthy Hudson River, so that we can continue to enjoy the water for years to come. Join us on Saturday, August 3, 2024, as we celebrate the first annual Paddle for Our Hudson! Live music, food, and drink will help to wrap up this one-of-a-kind event at the Clearwater headquarters in Beacon, NY. 

Paddle participants get a free ticket to the after party.

Hudson River Sloop Clearwater is a member-supported, non-profit organization whose mission is to protect the Hudson River by inspiring lifelong stewardship of the river and its tributaries through education and advocacy. Founded in 1969, Clearwater has been advocating and working for a cleaner and healthier Hudson River watershed for over 50 years. Clearwater operates an iconic 106’ wooden sailboat taking thousands of children, families, and individuals out on the river each sailing season. Clearwater offers a variety of Hudson River-based environmental education programs.
