The Bed-Stuy 5K Run/Walk

*Due to high demand, the Bed-Stuy 5K will extend the opportunity for individuals to run/walk the race this Saturday August 4th, but all new registrants will NOT have bibs, their race efforts will not be timed, and you will have your medal mailed to you weeks later.  If you are interested, come down to Herbert Von King Park (670 Lafayette Avenue, Brooklyn NY 11216) on race morning at 7am for same day registration. Volunteers will be on hand to assist you.

Join Black Men Run New York City and 500 Black Men Making a Difference on Saturday, August 4th 2018 for the 4th Annual Bed-Stuy 5K Run/Walk.

The Bed-Stuy 5K is open to runners of all levels, and there will be hydration stations along the route. All adult finishers will receive an exclusive Bed-Stuy 5K medal symbolizing one of NYC's most famous neighborhoods.

Bib-pick Up

You will have three (3) opportunities for bib-pick up:

• Thursday August 2nd from 5pm-8pm at Veggies Natural Juice Bar, 785 Franklin Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11238
• Friday August 3rd from 4pm-7pm at Magnolia Tree Earth Center, 677 Lafayette Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11216
• Race day morning - August 4th from 7am-8:15am at Herbert Von King Park

Bag Check:  Will take place at Von King Park. Volunteers and signs will guide you toward the correct area.

Water Stations

Water will be provided for all runners at the ends of Mile 1 and Mile 2, and at the finish line.

Schedule

There will be an optional group stretch at approximately 8:15am right before the race begins, and the race itself begins promptly at 8:30am from the middle of Von King Park, where it also ends.Please make sure to be there on time for all the activities, and to support each other out there before and after the run.

The awards ceremony for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place male and female finishers will begin at approximately 9:30am.
