As we see the impact of COVID-19 spread through athletics we wanted to reach out to our participants to address the situation as it pertains to our 2020 event. The safety, health, and overall wellness of our participants is our #1 priority. We are monitoring information from the Onondaga County Executive, CDC, the State Department, and the New York Department of Public Health. Many active sporting events and mass gatherings have that over 50 persons gathered have elected to cancel with the attempt to reduce the spread of this virus.
At this point, our committee has elected to postpone to a TBD date in 2021, with all current registered runners entry's deferred to 2021.

Join us on Saturday, August 29th, 2020 for "THE HALF"...This is a premier running event hosted by and to benefit Charity for Children. Featured races include i"The HALF"( Half-Marathon), 5K Run, 5K "youth division" Run, 2-Mile "trail walk"
"The Half" (half-marathon) course blends road, Canal Path, and trails at Green Lakes for a fast, "easy on the legs" course with over 7 miles in the shade!
The 5K "trail run" starts on the beach path and runs the beautiful wooded trails around the lakes, while the 2-Mile "Trail Walk" both offer a great experience for the entire family and brings to light the mission of the Charity for Children and why we do what we do.
