Description
Join us as we celebrate the 23rd year of the KVIS Katonah Road Races! Participate in the Katonah 5K, the 1 Mile Kids Fun Run and the Kids Dash, no fee to register! Races start on The Village Green at Parkway and Edgemont, across from the Katonah Village Library. The 5K starts promptly at 8:00 AM, followed by the 1 Mile Kids Fun Run at 9:00 AM and the Kids Dash at 9:20 AM.
The 5K is a combination road and trail run. Please be mindful that you will encounter natural obstacles such as loose gravel, rocks and roots. Strollers and dogs are not permitted.
A free K5K t-shirt is available to the first 100 registrants. This quota has been reached. T-shirts are available for purchase on race day while supplies last.
We are collecting new socks to donate to the Community Center of Northern Westchester. Please consider bringing a pair ... or two! A collection box will be available for donations on the day of the race. Donate funds to support this cause.
NEW this year - purchase a Community Spirit Sign to support your runner! For $25 you will receive an 18" x 24" white sign to decorate as you choose. Inspire your runner to finish the race with a personalized message of love and support. Your sign will be staked on the race route the day of the race.
This event is co-sponsored by the Town of Bedford and is KVIS’s largest fundraiser, involving hundreds of people of all ages. KVIS organizes and supports many inter-generational cultural and educational events to enrich the lives of Katonah residents and visitors, including: the Katonah Halloween Parade, The Oscars Come to Katonah Film Series, and the spring community-wide cleanup day. KVIS also supports beautification projects such as the pollinator garden at the Katonah station and the plantings along the train fencing. We partner with the Katonah Chamber of Commerce on various events to support Katonah merchants, including co-sponsoring Katonah for the Holidays and donation drives this past December.

5k Course:
Start on Edgemont Road
Stay right at fork to continue on Edgemont around turn
Right on Valley Road
Left on New Street
Left on the Terrace
Right on Terrace Heights. Stay on the road as it bends right (don’t run down the driveways!)
Right on Huntville. Pass Katonah Elementary
Right on Glen Ridge. Stay right on this as it hooks around a tight turn
Left onto Cottage Place
Left on Valley
Right on Wildwood, up the one steep hill!
Stay straight to arrow towards parking lot for Rasor field. Sharp hairpin left turn onto the dirt driveway. STAY LEFT. Arrows and scouts will guide you!
Enter trails at arrow
First right
Follow orange flags and ribbons. When you come to a split, look for flags to lead you. Stay on trails, not field.
Straight down wider path towards tennis courts
Pass the cement wall
Stay straight down the hill on North Street
Right on High Street to its end
Left on Ridge Street to its end
Right onto North Street briefly
Right on Greenville
Stay straight until Parkway green then left on Parkway to finish line!
