Description
Brave the wooded 5K run and/ or walk through the beautiful area of Ausable Chasm. Imagine yourself during the race escaping to freedom as many slaves did heading to Canada with the help of abolitionists in this area. The North Star UGRR depicts this history in its museum and hopes you use your imagination with this run by portraying a fugitive following the north star, avoiding slave catchers, and reaching freedom.
Registration and packet pickup begin at 8 AM at the Ausable Chasm Campground entrance on Route 9.
Race begins at 9 AM on Route 9 (watch for signs).
Registration fee: $25 (participants will receive a race packet that includes a performance T-shirt). Register by September 13 to be guaranteed a T-shirt.
