The Community Mile presented by The Power Motion Picnic Hour

The Power Motion Picnic Hour Community Mile celebrates all types of ambulation and ambulation adjacent movement - running, walking, wheeling, moseying, and whatever else suits the participant. It is a self-timed 1 mile event that will take place live in Manhattan or remotely with self-reported finishing times in both formats. Racers are judged by 2 measures: whether they are faster or slower than Tom Bosworth’s world record race walking mile (5:31:08) and also by the degree to which they had fun. There is not expected to be any gender categorization of the race results.
