Newport Firemen's Field Days Virtual 5k

Our annual "Kick-Off Run" cannot happen in person this year, due to the Covid-19 crisis. However, the Kuyahoora Kickers are making it a virtual 5k instead. There will be no Firemen's Fields Days this year, but all proceeds from this virtual race will still be used to help support the Newport Fire Department. Let's "race" and raise money for a good cause! Here's how it works:

Run a 5k course of your choice between July 13 and August 2. Email your results to Bill Moody at wenmoodyus@yahoo.com, with a link to your fitness tracker record of the run, if possible. Results will be organized and shared with participants after August 2. Feel free to run the official course if you'd like. The race address here is listed as the Fairgrounds, since we have to supply an address on the website, but you do NOT need to run your 5k at the fairgrounds or even in Newport. You can run your 5k wherever you'd like. If you're more of a "walker", you're also welcome to join!
