A virtual 5k!

Project IPass and Island Photo is hosting the second annual Walking In A Winter Wonderland Virtual 5k! Virtual 5k's are a fun, easy way to complete a race on your own terms:

• You decide when you complete the 3.1 mile race, complete the route whenever YOU decide, just submit your results by December 31st!
• You can even split up the distance if you want, just add up your times to get your final results
• Walk or run, it's up to you!
• You decide your route, even indoor treadmill results will be accepted
• Track your mileage and time with one of many app options on your phone or even your favorite fitness tracker
• Participants will receive a personalized BIB number you can print
• Take lots of selfies along your route to share in the race experience
• Please participate responsibly, taking into account recommended CDC safety guidelines on face coverings and social distancing
• Have your family join you! They are also welcome to register and get their own personalized BIB number
• HAVE FUN!

There are many ways to figure out how to get those 3.1 miles done and over with. For example, use your favorite fitness tracker as many of them have a built in GPS or pedometer that tracks mileage. There are also many free and highly rated apps available for your phone that can track distance and time such as Nike Run Club. You can even use Google Maps to plot out a course that would take you 3.1 miles ahead of time, and then manually time the workout.
