The Excellus BCBS Teacher's Challenge 5K WILL NOT be held at Ellison Park!! Ellison Park is underwater!

New Location for The Excellus BCBS Teacher's Challenge 5K: Durand Eastman Beach Park located on Lakeshore Blvd. in the City of Rochester (north of Irondequoit, along the shore of Lake Ontario)

PLEASE NOTE: Registration is closed as of 11:59pm on Thursday, June 11. You can register on Saturday between 10am-4pm at Medved Running and Walking (cash or check) or at the event on Sunday morning between 7:30-8:15am for $30. 

Join us! The 2nd Teacher's Challenge 5K is made possible by our presenting event sponsor, Excellus BlueCross BlueShield. Organizations throughout our community are coming together to support the Rochester City School District teachers and students. This 5K Run/Walk is going to be held on Sunday, June 14th 2015. This event is hosted by ROC City Values, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to strengthening core values in our Rochester kids and their families through collaborations with businesses, organizations and schools. This will ultimately benefit our communities throughout the City of Rochester. 

Success Beyond Expectations: In our first year, 2014, thanks to the 500+ participants, we were able to give out almost $8,000 in gift cards for RCSD teachers to purchase school supplies with! With about 60 schools/programs district-wide, our mission is raise enough funds to for each program to really feel the impact of the donations. With your registration and participation in helping to spread the word about this event, we can make it happen together! 

Ready to register? Join a team, start a new one or register as an individual. It's your choice! Yes, this is the "Teacher's Challenge" but please know that all ages, schools, organizations, businesses, families, friends, groups, whatever are welcome!

Rochester City School Programs/Buildings Team Incentive: If you are an Elementary, Secondary or Academy on the 2014-15 RCSD School List, you are eligible for TC5K event donations. Thanks to many of our local corporate sponsors, if you have 20+ participants on your team, you will qualify for a corporate sponsorship, which will bring additional donations for school supplies to your program. So, start building your team today! 

ANY PreK-12 School/Organization Sign-up Incentive:

Any PreK-12 school/organization that signs up 10 or more team members will receive an exclusive digital learning solutions package, courtesy of McGraw-Hill Education, for the 2015-16 school year.

Teams can choose from the following digital solutions: StudySync, SRA Reading Labs 2.0, SRA FLEX Literacy, ALEKS, or Building Blocks. Packages can be customized to best meet the needs and initiatives of your school district. Thank you, McGraw-Hill Education!!! 

Awards: Top male and female by age group will be honored. Special awards will be given for top boy and girl under 12 years old and 13-17 years old. *Please note that there is special pricing of $15 for children Under 17. Under 5 are free if in a stroller or carrier.
