Description
The Maji Movement is proud to announce its first ever Move For Maji walkathon event!
All students and walkers from FDR High School Brooklyn are pledging to walk 25,000 steps per week during the month of March. The average distance that people facing water insecurity must walk to retrieve clean drinking water is 3 miles, and each student is striving to walk that distance at least 4 days each week to bring awareness to the global water crisis.
Each walker has a goal of raising $100 which is enough to fund 1 biosand filter that will be donated to a family in Tanzania and will provide 20+ years of clean drinking water.
How many lives can we change this month? That is up to you!
