Come celebrate Maple Weekend with Dutchess County Parks!
Maple Saturday will kick off with a 5K run/walk in partnership with Eastern Dutchess Road Runners Club.
The 5K will take place on paved and gravel roadways within scenic Bowdoin Park.
Immediately following, stick around for the Second Annual Best Pancake Competition Breakfast taking place in the auditorium and will feature Dutchess County Parks Maple syrup!
Fun and Food nothing better than that!

Each registered runner will receive a Event themed bandana.
Course
Starts at Pavilion 5.
Mile 1: Runners will take a L from starting line and then a quick R heading up George T Bowdoin Way. Runners will take a R at Lenape Circle and run the auxiliary road past the Parks Maintenance buildings. Then, all will follow Maple Knoll Road around Ellessdie Chapel, past pavilion 4 and around Maple Knoll Lodge.
Mile 2: Runners will continue back on Maple Knoll Road to George T Bowdoin Way and take R heading downhill. At 4-way stop sign, runners will take R unto Maple Syrup drive heading towards another T/A point.
Mile 3: Runners exit Maple Syrup Drive taking a R on George T Bowdoin roadway downhill towards last T/A near pavilion 1. Runners ascend back up main road to finish at Pavilion 5.
NOTE: Majority of run is on gravel roadways.

Best Pancake Competition
9:15am- 12:00pm
Dutchess County Park staff and Culinary Institute of America students will team up again in a quest to claim the Best Pancake of 2024.
You decide who wins the challenge!
Pancake Breakfast Cost
$5 per person, cash payment at the door. Children under 6 are free.
Maple Education workshops are ongoing throughout the day beginning at 9:30am
