Description
"Join current students, alumni, and friends of the community for the reoccurring 5k run and one-mile race event that is dedicated to ending the stigma around mental illness. It's vital to raise awareness about mental health issues and the challenges that are faced because of it. The End The Stigma Race was started by a current occupational therapy student at Xavier University after their service-learning experience at the Recovery Center of Hamilton County. It impacted them so much, they decided to take action to help End The Stigma surrounding mental illness and recovery. As a result, the Recovery Center of Hamilton County is partnering up with Xavier University to host and sponsor the run. All proceeds raised from this event will go to the Recovery Center of Hamilton County and all the great work they do for the community."
