On Sunday, October 8, 2023, Saint Ignatius High School Running with the Cats Club proudly presents the 7th annual Shanerock Run, a 5K run and/or 1M walk to be held at Saint Ignatius High School.
The Running with the Cats Club was started in 2014 and its mission is to partner children with special needs with Saint Ignatius High School students to train for and complete a 5k race. During our training we not only focus on running but also on instilling confidence, building friendships, and practicing social skills. Due to our tremendous support in 2022, we are very excited for our group to participate in the 7th annual Shanerock Run. This gives our running group the opportunity to practice the ultimate social skill, which is thinking and doing for others.
Proceeds to benefit Shanerock - a local charity helping children and families
who are fighting pediatric cancer.

RACE DAY SCHEDULE
Pre-race Mass at St. Ignatius High School in St. Mary's Chapel - 7:30 am
Race Day Registration and pre-registration packet pickup at the Atrium off the main mall next to the Science Center at St. Ignatius - 7:30 - 9:00 am
5K and 1 Mile Run/Walk Start - 9:00 am
