Description

Join us in making a tangible impact on our community by participating in Move for a Mission, the inaugural 5k Run/Walk hosted by the Columbus Free Clinic! As a student-run, non-profit organization, we are dedicated to providing quality medical care to underserved individuals in our valued community.

All proceeds will directly contribute to our ongoing efforts to provide exceptional care to those who need it most. Whether you're an experienced runner, a casual walker, or simply passionate about our cause, we welcome you to join us for this exciting event. Furry friends are welcome as well! We just ask that your dogs remain leashed and under your control for the entirety of your time spent on campus.

For any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us at columbusfreeclinic5k@gmail.com. Thank you for your support, and we look forward to seeing you at the starting line!

Parking

When it comes to parking on the Ohio State campus, you've got options. There are two different general types of parking: garages and surface parking lots. CampusParc manages parking at Ohio State, and we are directing our participants to use SureParc, an interactive map that allows you to view parking rules by date and time. After filling out the menu in SureParc, you can click on parking areas within the map to learn more about rates, occupancy, and even directions to a specific spot. The tool provides personalized information for permit holders, patients, and visitors.

Our recommendation is parking on surface lots around the Ohio Stadium or in the parking garages near the Ohio Union, both are in close proximity to our race area near Thompson Library. ADA parking is closest to our event at surface lots off of the intersection of Annie and John Glenn Avenue and Neil Avenue. See image below for more information:

Awards

After the run, custom race medals and a Raising Cane's gift basket will be awarded to the top male and female overall finishers in each age group (18 and under, 19-29, 30-45, and 45+). We will also be raffling off several other gift baskets on Race Day.
