Description
The PetPromise Rescue Run is a 5k (and 1-mile) run/walk and festival (friendly dogs welcome!) held annually on the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend. PetPromise is dedicated to creating a world where there are no more homeless pets through education, rescue, spay and neuter, and adoption.
PetPromise is:
rescuing strays from the street or from death row at shelters;
providing pets in need with medical care and rehabilitation;
guiding placement and adoption of pets into permanent homes;
providing spay and neuter services for homeless and feral cats; and
creating community awareness and education about the homeless pet problem.
Parking
Parking is available via street meters and numerous garages surrounding McFerson Park and the Arena District.
