Description

DDR Dash 5-Miler

Oct 19th - 0800

For the third-straight year, the Young Marines program will be hosting DDR Dashes across the Nation. These races will start at 0800 everywhere so you will not only be running or hiking with the folks in your area, but thousands of people across the country.

This year, the Miami Valley unit is doing a 5-mile run/hike as part of the cause. You can join us in being a part of this massive event and earn some cool swag while doing it.  5 miles a bit too far? Then opt for the 1.5-mile option instead.

DDR stands for Drug Demand Reduction. This is a big part of the Young Marines program who continuously fight drugs in our local communities, especially with regard to other youth.

Those that sign up by 1 October are guaranteed a T-Shirt and dog tag medal for participating in the hike. Those that register after that date may or may not receive these items (depending upon supply). The cost of the event is $25, but you can reduce this cost by signing up early and/or opting out from receiving the t-shirt.  There will also be awards for the top finishers in each age group.

Registration can be done through any Young Marine or Staff or by going to https://runsignup.com/Race/OH/Dayton/DDRDash5kYoungMarines.

If you have any questions on this event, please email the Unit Commander at keagan.miller@miamivalleyyoungmarines.com.
